Transport
Taxi
Taxi service in Prague is a gamble. We know some people who paid extortionate prices for just a few kilometers. Arguing with these characters is not a good idea, they don´t like to not being paid. Of course, there are same good and reliable companies. And we can strongly recommend our service.
Alternatively we can arrange everything for you.
We can arrange a taxi transfer from the airport straight to your apartment. For just 650 Czk or 26 Euro. From the railway stations and bus station it´s 400Czk or 16 Euro. To reserved the taxi transfer we need these details: the exact time of your arrival, flight or train number and the name of the place you want to be picked up from.
Bus
Airport mini-bus is an option of transportation from the airport to the city center. The final destination is Namesti Republiky which is only a short walking distance to the old town. This bus costs 90 crowns per person. (min 4 people - but if you are alone there are normally other passengers waiting too). These buses are usually waiting in front of the terminal building.
Train
You can find couple of railway stations in Prague. The central is Praha Hlavní nádraží where most of all trains are coming to. Than Holešovice, Smíchovské nadraží, Liben, which are smaller stations.
Public transport
Tram, bus and metro (underground) is the most popular transportation in the center of Prague. It´s crowded specially in the morning and the afternoon. This is a small marathon and it´s best to avoided. The cost of the ticket is just 12 crowns. Metro lines are only three in Prague so you shouldn´t get lost. You need to follow the platform signs. And it´s the quickest transportation. Tram lines and stations are all over the Prague and it´s the only tranportation after midnight. Bus lines are in the center as well as in the outskirt of Prague.
